Generations

Oak leaves and acorns brought me to a thoughtful place of what the word generations means to me…big strong, deeply rooted oak trees represent strong ties to the earth and thus to family.

The image of an oak tree reminds me of the family trees my dad and mom tried to put together when I was younger and very uninterested in where my family came from…

Today at 63 it’s a different story. Because it’s my story. One I appreciate now.

I’m in the process of piecing together the family tree, such that it is, because now it’s important to me and I’m interested. I hope it’s not too late.

It’s fortunate for all my family that dad wrote his life story down on paper. We have shared it electronically between sister, brother, nieces, nephews and daughters.

I’m inspired to write my own life story to keep my family history alive.

This is my attempt to plant an acorn so my tree will take life for generations to come.
